FAQs
FAQs
What's the process when getting a custom build?
The process always starts with a conversation, so get in touch and tell us about your Dream Bike, and we can advise on the best way to make that dream a reality. The next step is to put down a deposit (at least 50%) - this will get the product secured or ordered under your name and the build process underway. We'll be in touch as the build progresses with any updates.
Want to Carry More?
With a wide range of frame and fork-mounted rack systems on the market, and with more appearing every week, it is not possible for us to know exactly which racks will be compatible. Before mounting a rack to your frame or fork, we strongly recommend you get in touch with us for our advice. We will do our best to verify compatibility.
This will minimise the risk of injury, product damage and voiding your warranty. Your local Curve dealer, or the team at Curve HQ, can also help you select a rack system and mount it to your bike for you.
In general, M5 mounts on chainstays and seatstays will accept racks of various types, and the maximum approved weight to carry on a rack is 20kg (or less, depending on the rack rating).
Note: This rating is for smooth roads & gravel. For anything rougher, the weight limit decreases. Use careful discretion when gauging how much weight to carry on rough gravel or off-road adventures.
What payment options are there?
We accept payment in the form of credit card, Pay Pal and EFT. If you'd prefer to pay for your Curve bike or product in multiple payments, please contact us for an invoice with payment options attached.
How long will my order take to ship?
Some products can be shipped immediately and normally land within 10-15 business days. Other products will have a lead time depending on supply levels and build time. As a guide, complete bikes normally take 3-4 weeks, custom wheel builds take 2–3 weeks, and custom frames take 3-6 months, plus shipping time.
All our complete bikes are assembled and tuned before being packed safely for shipping (unless agreed otherwise). This means that you will not have to cut the chain, bleed brakes or set up and tune gears. However, in order for us to fit the bike in the box, some parts will have to come off. This means that some assembly is needed once you receive your new bike.
- Fit the front wheel
- Fit the handlebars on the stem (torque wrench needed)
- Fit the seatpost and adjust the saddle height and angle to your preference
- Fit the rear derailleur and chain *
- Fill sealant in tubeless tyres
* We realise that fitting the derailleur and chain may be something you're not comfortable doing yourself. We leave these parts off and pack them separately in the box to protect the bike and derailleur. The rear derailleur is one of the more expensive components on the bike, and we do not want you to receive your bike with a bent hanger, a broken or damaged derailleur, and/or a scratched chainstay due to chain rattle.

If you are building your Curve frameset with a self-supplied groupset, please see the specification guide via the link below to ensure the necessary parts are sufficiently compatible with our framesets.
The specification details may change over time. Please check HERE for the latest version.
“See me ride out of the sunset
On your color TV screen
Out for all that I can get
If you know what I mean”
Yesterday when I was riding home and listening to this famous song, I thought, oh well, it could actually be about this bike!
I put off buying Big Kev for almost a year, reasoning that I don't need another gravel bike at all. I couldn't have been more wrong. Big Kev is amazing and real “do it all” bike and has become my new number one. I finished build during the winter 2026 and now in the middle of the season I could probably rate it.
Fat tires rule all! There is nothing better than 29” tires with low pressure when bikepacking. The bike remains nimble and still climbs well. The geometry and taller stack reduces fatigue and pressure points from the cockpit. The bike is legible and holds the track well even on broken descents (sure, depends as well on proper tires setup). If I ride without bags, there is no problem riding sporty on fast MTB tires.
I built the bike on the new Di2 set from Shimano GRX827. I have no regrets, it runs perfectly. Perhaps the only drawback of the bike is that it does not suit thinner tires, looks like tires from younger brother. But who would put them there, this bike must be on proper tires, otherwise it loses a little of its naturalness.
I am really looking forward to taking the bike to the Istra Land bikepacking adventure this year!
Last ride was a steel rig with 650b wheels. Taller head tube gave me more stack and a bit less reach.. Curve team helped me dial in the right size and slight adjustments on stem length and position. Immediately felt MUCH better. A bit more aggressive position felt great… actually more comfortable. Big Kev handles like a dream. Feels faster, more stable, climbs better, sprints better and when loaded with gear, handles amazingly. After a season of riding, I can’t say enough great things. Best investment and highly recommend this bike if you’re looking for a drop bar adventure bike capable of doing it all. Big Kev keeps up with the fast gravel bros and has enough toughness to handle trails and bikepacking. I do hope Curve improves the flip chip/wheel interface on the fork and upgrades to internal routing on the fork. So very minor though.
Big Kev and I are best friends. This bike is amazing!
Took my Big Kev to do the Roam Scotland Rally, crossing rugged grounds of the Cairngorms nationaal park. Nothing could stop this Ti machine! Crashed 3x but no harm done. Some blood, some mud and a big grin knowing this is not a carbon frame and also has the T-Type transmission without a derailleur hanger. Ride on!
Doing longer rides on rough fire trails, I had a need for a bike that could go for days carrying a bunch of stuff, be more efficient than my MTB, and have a bit more stability than your average gravel bike.
After a lot of research I settled on Big Kev. It was a bit of a commitment step, but no regrets. This thing is a different proposition to my other bikes, it can take on pretty much anything and super fun in undulating trails.

I loved my Big Kev from the start, but it wasn’t until we rode together in some extremely challenging conditions during a bike packing race that I realised how awesome he truly is. Big Kev coped with everything thrown at him - thick sticky mud and rain and the geometry proved so comfortable to ride. The 29ers roll super smoothly, even when I was carrying extra gear for overnighters. I love the dinner plate on the 10-52t cassette, and combined with the traction of the wheels, it gets me up and down almost anything with more confidence and comfort. Being more of a road bike rider, the extra confidence on the gnarly trails makes for a much more relaxed ride which is a big plus. Big Kev you’re the best!
A big shout out to the Curve crew who have been incredibly kind in helping me choose the right bike and size and helping me set up everything. I love how Curve values their community and shows care.
Over time I've gravitated towards gravel from road bikes, and Big Kev is as far as you go with gravel before you might as well be on a mountain bike. It's amazing that it's built around road components, but can take 29er tires big enough to roll over almost anything.
I often load mine up with a small pannier rack, a full set of frame bags, plus food and water to carry gear for 2 people and head off on adventures, and I found Big Kev handles the weight a lot better than my previous steel bike.
Big Kev is simply functional and durable, built around all the current standards like T47 and UDH, and being Ti it could last forever. Long live Big Kev!
It is always a little nerve wracking buying a bike of this value off the Internet, without a first hand evaluation, but I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. The big box arrived and I had imagined a trip to my local bike shop to get assembly organised particularly the tubeless wheels but slowly the bike came together without a glitch. The wheels came pre inflated so no problem there. Bluetooth derailleurs solved another with a simple bolt on solution, so before you know it I had my beautiful shiny titanium machine, looks so good with those carbon wheels. The bike has performed faultlessly on a variety of explorations around home and on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. It is great to feel all the power going into the trail instead on being muted with suspension. The bike rolls beautifully and gets faster over time. The only change I made was the saddle but that's just a personal fit thing. I'm looking forward to many thousands of K's exploring on this bike, and looking really good while I do it! (at least the bike will). Thank you Curve for facilitating BK's early arrival and bringing me such an amazing Xmas present.
