FAQs
FAQs
What's the process when getting a custom build?
The process always starts with a conversation, so get in touch and tell us about your Dream Bike, and we can advise on the best way to make that dream a reality. The next step is to put down a deposit (at least 50%) - this will get the product secured or ordered under your name and the build process underway. We'll be in touch as the build progresses with any updates.
Want to Carry More?
With a wide range of frame and fork-mounted rack systems on the market, and with more appearing every week, it is not possible for us to know exactly which racks will be compatible. Before mounting a rack to your frame or fork, we strongly recommend you get in touch with us for our advice. We will do our best to verify compatibility.
This will minimise the risk of injury, product damage and voiding your warranty. Your local Curve dealer, or the team at Curve HQ, can also help you select a rack system and mount it to your bike for you.
In general, M5 mounts on chainstays and seatstays will accept racks of various types, and the maximum approved weight to carry on a rack is 20kg (or less, depending on the rack rating).
Note: This rating is for smooth roads & gravel. For anything rougher, the weight limit decreases. Use careful discretion when gauging how much weight to carry on rough gravel or off-road adventures.
What payment options are there?
We accept payment in the form of credit card, Pay Pal and EFT. If you'd prefer to pay for your Curve bike or product in multiple payments, please contact us for an invoice with payment options attached.
How long will my order take to ship?
Some products can be shipped immediately and normally land within 10-15 business days. Other products will have a lead time depending on supply levels and build time. As a guide, complete bikes normally take 3-4 weeks, custom wheel builds take 2–3 weeks, and custom frames take 3-6 months, plus shipping time.
All our complete bikes are assembled and tuned before being packed safely for shipping (unless agreed otherwise). This means that you will not have to cut the chain, bleed brakes or set up and tune gears. However, in order for us to fit the bike in the box, some parts will have to come off. This means that some assembly is needed once you receive your new bike.
- Fit the front wheel
- Fit the handlebars on the stem (torque wrench needed)
- Fit the seatpost and adjust the saddle height and angle to your preference
- Fit the rear derailleur and chain *
- Fill sealant in tubeless tyres
* We realise that fitting the derailleur and chain may be something you're not comfortable doing yourself. We leave these parts off and pack them separately in the box to protect the bike and derailleur. The rear derailleur is one of the more expensive components on the bike, and we do not want you to receive your bike with a bent hanger, a broken or damaged derailleur, and/or a scratched chainstay due to chain rattle.

The REMLAW Bar has ample space for bags, lighting systems and other accessories making it the perfect flat bar companion for your next touring or bikepacking adventure!

Flat Bar for Drop Bar Bikes
We wanted to create a flat bar that could be used in place of a drop bar, yet still have comparable reach without compromising handling. The bends in the bar are designed to optimise positioning and keep body weight in front of the stem, whereas the sweep-back helps keep the hands' position from being too far forward. The nature of the sweep-back also means that when converting from a drop bar to the Remlaw Bar, the same length stem can be used without detriment to handling as the hands will be in a similar position (See diagram below).
A Tourer's Dream
Designed to work with either our GXR (Kevin) or GMX+ bikes, this bar can also be utilised as a general standalone bar on other adventure-style bikes. Being flat the Remlaw Bar provides a comfortable, easy-to-use bar that is ideal for any bikepacking or touring adventure.
Still Got Space?
The bar's central oversized section and curves have ample room for feedbags, front rolls, and aerobars to be attached to the bars. The curves in the bar also aid with clearance when out of the saddle, so your knees will be safe and free to pedal without obstruction!
The Name?
Take the word Remlaw. Reverse it. What do you get? That's right! Walmer. You really don't want to know what other ideas were put forward!

FAQs
| Will the Remlaw Bar fit my bike? | If your bike was designed as a drop bar set up, the Remlaw Bar will fit! If you are unsure, why not get in contact with us. |
| What grips can I use? | Any industry-standard 22.2 mm handlebar grip for flat bar or mountain bike bars can be used. You can also use normal bar tape if you prefer. The same measurement is used for standard brake/gear shifter clamps for mountain bikes, also. |
| Does the Remlaw Bar come in different sizes? | The Remlaw Bar come in one size. However, should you want a narrower bar you can cut them down to size. The bar comes with 5 mm marked increments to aid measurement. Please accurately measure and double check before cutting. Your local bike shop should gladly help you to cut the bars as needed. |
| Does the Remlaw Bar come in a riser version? | Not at this stage. Being flat, it gives riders maximum versatility in bar positioning. |
